The famous vampire and werewolf Underworld series is back with some bite. Wink arf, arf. No pun intended, the fourth Underworld movie is being revamped from head to toe, with a new set of directors and a storyline that's rumored to be drastically different from the previous Underworld films, which explains why a lot of interest has been stirred up.

The plot of the film is centered on the fact that humanity has gone from "tasty snack" to inescapable tsunami, what future can the vampires have in such a world and can they align with the werewolf's ? Who will betray who first? So many possibilities have been opened up that if this movie is a success they might just make another one.

There have been a lot of rumors originating from people close to the cast behind the series and now you get to hear the whole truth from the mouth of the scriptwriter himself:

“I can tell you it’s not a prequel... Meaning that we don’t want to redo the first three movies, so steps are being taken to honor what fans have loved but at the same time introduce fresh elements.”

And there has been a lot of uncertainty about Beckinsale coming back for the fourth film. And very recently that too has been confirmed by Bloody-Disgusting, what happened was that she isn't very interested in coming back and is basically obligated to be part of the movie unless of course she can manage to wiggle her way out of it (pause for a happy visual).

In a recent Variety article there is also mention of Beckinsale’s husband returning to direct for a third time. And that is really the best news any of us could wish for, as he is the one responsible for making this Vampire/Werewolf series come out to the public with such an original and unique feel to it.
